What exactly is KATE'zine?

KATE'zine was started as a joke when I was sitting in my apartment with two friends going through old issues of fashion magazines tearing out photos of KATE before throwing them away. The three of us were going through our own piles when I realized that quite a collection of photos were piling up. I had mentioned my fascination with KATE quite often in my zine Yahtzeen so I jokingly said I should do a zine entirely about KATE. Well after they left and I sorted through my bonanza of KATE photos I thought what the hell, I'll do it. I whipped out the first issue in about an hour and made the first 30 copies on a machine where I worked. Shortly after unleashing it on the public the response was overwhelming which led me to do a second issue, something I hadn't planned on doing (a third is in the works). So now I'm putting on the web what originally appeared in the printed version (the paper was folded the tall skinny way instead of the usual zine format to emphasize even more the waifness of KATE). I've decided to retain everything as it was originally written and present it in the most logical manner, I'd suggest starting from the top and working down if you'd like to get the best feel for KATE'zine as things will make more sense that way but if you just wanna look at pictures of the prettiest waif in the world I wouldn't blame you if you clicked wherever you wished.
